>>50777619I don’t know about “perfection”, but I like it. Voltorb is a funny take on a mimic, based on the big pokeball sprites for items. Never understood how it came to be considered a bad design by many.
A lot of gen 1 was lifted from japanese pop culture (kaiju, jrpg’s, etc). Stuff like Magnemite, Grimer, and Voltorb are basically DQ enemies with an mordern, urban theme. Neat.
