>>50779637>I never got Charizard popularity. Being a starter automatically elevated its popularity, and being a dragon makes it cool by default. The fact that it's by far the most "generic" of the Kanto starter hardly matters and if anything just works in its favor in terms of general appeal. Blastiose and Venusuar are great designs and both are more original than Charizard. Venusaur is my personal favorite of the Kanto starters but Fire-breathing Dragon has far more general appeal Flower Toad.
