I just beat Sword for the first time and honestly it wasn't half bad. Definitely a weaker game than the holy games (Heartgold/Soulsilver/Emeral/Platinum/BW/BW2) but still enjoyable and far from the worse shit ever. Despite the handholding and lame story and characters, i still think it was a solid Pokemon adventure. Should i try Let's Go?

I thought the same OP, like a return to the roots kinda thing. Very basic entry, but enjoyable nonetheless. I didn't like the 3DS games. Well, ORAS gets a pass, but that's a remake and beyond that... Yeah. Nah, Sword/Shield was decent. But I'll admit seeing that mouse cursor in the ending sequence video made me laugh out loud, lazy fucking editing. Don't think they ever patched it either.

my one problem with the switch titles is just how soulless the UI's look. Just like other modern tripe that sacrifices soul for a "sleek look". Even those health bars look boring, how did they manage that?

I pirated it early and the DLC day 1. The DLC makes it one of the better Pokemon experiences I've ever played, but the fact that you'd have to pay $90 kind of makes it not worth it.
