>>50784630I think what bothers me is that the premise had great potential.
When the authors of this manga created the concept, they only had in mind to create cool characters with elements of Setai or Kamen Rider, so the transformations were the classic suits with technological elements and some oriental mythology (Dragons, tigers, onis) and as was obvious, it went unnoticed by the editors. Some time later, an editor who liked the artist's style proposed him to make a manga for pokemon BW, the artist, instead of starting from scratch, returned to his incomplete work, only adding the Pokemon as a complement, this is where there were three big problems:
First: The mangaka only wanted to focus on his human characters and left the Pokemon world as a mere background element, basically here the Pokemon only exist as batteries for the protagonists. He could have exploited the idea of a human fighting pokemon, or while he uses the fusion to understand their language, or a league only for Re-Burst battles, there were many possibilities that were left aside.
Second: It only focused on Pokemon from Unova (This is probably the fault of GF who wanted to only focus on G5 in this time) one of the generations with the greatest problem for wanting to be a reboot of the saga, which the most nostalgic fans did not like.
Third: Finally he did not realize the enormous commercial potential of fusions, gijinkas have been very popular since the beginning of the series, imagine having a catalog full of official figures, Warriors as children's toys (Saint seiya, Kamen rider) and Monster girls for the female market and waifufags.
