Because I like pokemon that are just animals with elemental abilities. You can't own and tame a lion in real life,much less one that can breath fire, so why shouldn't you in Pokemon.

Blaziken doesn’t really look like a human.
Have you seen pictures of some big bird species.
A lot of them do look like guys wearing suits.
But personally I would rather have blaziken have wings like an actual chicken.
