Luckily from gen 5 and on there were no definitive third versions. B2W2 were sequels, XY got no followup, SuMo got a split reimagining that many thought ruined Lusamine as a character and made certain things in the story not make much sense, and SwSh got disconnected DLC content of 2 completely separate areas.
