I've gone on and off pokemon over the years, but I've found that Bulbapedia is pretty much superior to every other site (cept for Azuriiland's IV calculator, which is now dead). It plays like wikipedia, where if there's a word or name u want to click on, you can. Literally all the information you need about a topic is on there, or if not there prob wouldn't be found anywhere else.
If you want to find a Scizor, go to it's main page. You see that you have to evolve Scyther, so you click on the word to go to Scyther's page. You see that it's found on route ___. You click on the route, it tells u the frequency. Perhaps you want to see it's type advantages/disadvantages. The layout is much easier to look at than Serebii. In fact, the entire outline of the site is insanely easy to parse through and look at and read.
As for ads, how tf do yall not have ad block? Even when I didn't, i never noticed the ads, hell im surprised yall mentioned this - i wouldve never thought of this as a con for Bulbapedia.
Bulbapedia is my go to for everything while playing the game.
