What I hate about poketubers, or YouTubers/"content creators" in general is how much of an ego they develop as soon as they get a whiff of success. I'm not going to say who they are, but I know
two poketubers URL, one is more successful than the other. I normally wouldn't say anything, but I feel the need to vent this shit.
When we used to hang out, the guy with the bigger channel basically wanted to dictate what we'd do, like every day was his fucking birthday. The other guy would just nod along and agree with what he said, kissing up to him like a Toadie. When the big guy was "busy", and it was just the other one, he acted the same way.
Eventually, the rest of us, who have real jobs, decided to call them out on it and they got really defensive, saying they're busy a lot so they want to have a good time, then really smug, saying they should expect us to understand their "lifestyle". I mean for fucks sake, they've had the same lifestyle since they were 17, they just never grew out of being selfish brats. They think they're above people when they don't even make the amounts of money you'd think would enable someone to act like they do, not even close.
They're not irredeemable people by any means, we're all still friends, and they've stopped being so selfish when we hang out, though I chalk that up to a bad break up for one of them. I just wish that they had the level of self-awareness that would make them act a little less douchey and a little more humble.
