Well it's wonderful to see Turner gone, you're a pretty oblivious fan if you haven't noticed the huge turnover in GameFreak employees over the last several years. Many long-time employees were converted to contract and then either had their contracts terminated or chose to terminate it themselves. It isn't necessarily to do with a change of approach with Nintendo either, as I think Atsuko Nishida left before Iwata passed away. I find a hard time believing /vp/ gives a shit about this franchise when a halfass hire like Turner leaving is continuing to get so many threads when no one really rang the alarm bells with Nishida converted to contract, tons of long-time TCG artists began to quit en masse, and so on.
