I didn't want it to be super cutesy or anything but Piplup was such a good starter design and it's evolution line just lost what made it so good imo. Marshtomp I feel the same way about but Swampert looks like a proper, muscular design that looks like it can actually defend itself. I feel the same way about Infernape but I just hate the head shape and I liked the colors for Monferno a lot and Chimchar was a really solid design. I dislike monkeys anyway though, so there's that. I hate Torterra because while the typing and design are cool it's such a chore to use and he always gets shown up by another member of my team, and isn't a reliable option to fallback on. to make matters worse it looks like a slower, heavier Venasaur but none of the bulk that makes Venasaur good in the games you can pick Turtwig, which I love but Grotle is so hideous. overall good design but it's limited to not being very bulky as a starter specifically imo, and he looks like a rip off Venasaur when you consider their designs.
