desu, the HGSS version isn't bad, I just prefer the GSC version but I don't quite know why, Something about the tempo of the newer version seems off.

I hated how the track seemed to have lost its energy in G/S/C.
Slateport's theme was pretty bangin', too, though, in a rare case, I felt the remake was actually better than the original:

That gen 3 soundfont is honestly awful for remixes. It really only works for Hoenn music, which I guess was specifically designed to sound good with that soundfont.
