I think, they nerf poltergeist and grassy glide, or just removes all of them, because rillaboom get advantage with it in vgc. It be sad for gorilla, but GF knows, they buffs it by accident

Hell, even DW's, Poltergeist's, TA's and Scale Shot's downside are so minimal that they are amongst the best moves of their types.

Even Meteor Beam, Rising Voltage, Lash Out, Corrosive Gas and Misty Explosion have some situational uses. The only ones that are useless are Steel Roller, Skitter Smack, Burning Jealousy and Terrain Pulse

Corrosive Gas can ensure a Weakness Policy is not present on a Pokemon you suspect may be holding one for the rest of the match. The cost is nuking everyone's items but that's fine if your Pokemon weren't relying on their items, and the opponent's were.

Burning Jealousy got some use in VGC, very difficult to use though.

Steel Roller is a cool idea but it's just so situational. It'd have to be usable even if there's no terrain at reduced power or something.

A lot of them are neat concepts but many of them are far too spread around. There's really no reason for something like poltergeist to be the best ghost move and on every physical Ghost type, even ones where it doesn't make sense for them to be using it from a lore perspective (Golurk, A-Marowak...). And then you have stuff like scorching sands which is learned by a bunch of fire types giving them basically earth power plus scald in one move. What the fuck were they thinking

I like how unique they are and I think the concept of adding a new move of each type for DLC is cool, but they were balanced quite unusually.

>Grassy Glide did nothing but make Rillaboom broken
>Scorching Sands and Flip Turn were made weaker than their counterparts, despite worse distribution
>Skitter Smack is hilariously bad when Mystical Fire and Spirit Break are the same but more accurate, stronger AND a superior offensive type
>Expanding Force in doubles is too strong with Indeedee everywhere
>Poltergeist, Meteor Beam and Scale Shot should be 100% accurate
>Steel Roller is too situational, should have been 65 BP with its effect doubling BP
>Corrosive Gas doing no damage is dumb when Knock Off exists, and the distribution is way too small

The rest are cool.
