The Indigo League was 100% the peak, the exact choice of wording I would use. Kanto League had the disappointing end at the tournament. Indigo League had an extremely satisfying ending.

Yes. I have two brand new factory sealed boxsets of the entire Season 1 on DVD with the banned Holiday Hi-Jynx episode included in mint condition. Later DVD releases of Season 1 removed the Jynx episode.

Sorry but gen 1 was meant to shill the games and merch as well. Just because you were 12 and didn't think of it that way, doesn't mean they didn't plan it to be like that. Just remember how they made it Red and Green, then released Blue a few months later because Red and Green didn't have the full pokedex. Also stadium "0" in japan, which didn't have the full pokedex either.

AG is good. You can skip GS (watch the movies, they're great outside of 4ever), and skip BW entirely. The whole mental reset was absolutely awful. Give Alola a shot, too. You'll enjoy it if you don't get put off by the art (or if it grows on you 6 eps in). If not, then you can drop it. Don't bother with Journeys.

And the corny american dub was at it’s peak as well, with genuinely funny jokes. The whole thing is full of fresh passion, artists and writers who are having fun with this new world, ideas, and characters

OG series is actually an enjoyable tv show and not just something you watch because you’re a pokemon fan
