It’d be totally possible to pose the blastoise model to look like that sprite though, the models aren’t inherently bad, they’ve just been given boring animations

What is it with people always comparing static images to a fully interactive character? One with a wider range of movement and expressions, even?

Reuniclus for example looks a bit shitty on the DS >>50813764
but actually pretty cute in later games. Also its body is more evidently translucent, instead of that weird flat green color.
