>>50818242Eeehhhh, it's pretty good... I think the lack of evolution is a huge drawback. I played it at launch as as I kept going and slowly realized that nothing was evolving and nothing would evolve was hugely disappointing. It killed my vibe enough that I didn't finish it.
I do like the new scoring system though, the controls feel much better, and the pokemon look much more alive in the world. By alive I mean that they fit better in their environment instead of just hanging out in it. The N64 river level had really good environmental interaction, but if you remember for example the cave level, everyone is just.... standing there, or floating there. This game, every level feels as alive as the river level. Also, the levels advance as you do runs and there's split paths, that's cool.
