The event is basically Ash training for the Masters Tournament with his Pokémon and him and Pikachu get into an argument, Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, and then suddenly they are on Pasio. Pikachu’s Thunderbolt being so strong is likely what made Hoopa bring them, because its orders were to transport strong trainers/Pokémon to Pasio.
While Ash is exploring he’s amazed about Pasio and seeing all the old faces, and then he runs into Lear who basically shits on him for being another hat-wearing trainer, but then gets interested in Ash when Ash says he wants to battle Lear
Then Ash meets Tina who is having problems with her Flareon, and Team Break get involved to serve as a Team Rocket replacement, and Pikachu literally blasts them off like Team Rocket
The event ends with Ash helping Tina, learns about the Masters League from Lear, and it concludes with a To Be Continued like an anime episode. The second half of the event is scheduled for August.
