Been curious about this as someone who grew up during gen 1 Pokemania, but are there any zoomers here who went back and played 'classic Pokemon' after playing gen 6 onward? What were your impressions of the games? Mostly curious about what those who played RBYGSC thought.

Zoomer here, my first game was Ruby on a Gameboy Advance SP. I eventually got Yellow and Crystal too and I enjoyed them, although 6 year old me had a lot of trouble beating Brock in Yellow. I haven't played Gen 1 or 2 since around 2007.

I atarted with BW. haven't played RBY yet, but tried GSC and it felt really outdated and boring. Not necessarily bad because of that, just pointless to play through the end when I had already played Johto before through HGSS. Will probably try gen 1 at some point, but I'm expecting similar results.
