>>50854521People just remember DP fondly because it was the first main series games on the DS and therefore the one that introduced Wifi trades and GTS. The physical special split also made competitive battling more popular. DP themselves sucked ass compared to literally every main series game before and after them and BDSP are slightly less terrible because of the Grand Underground and Gym leader rematches. Still worse than Platinum, which fixed the biggest problems with DP (except for the Great Marsh, which was made even worse for some reason).
