Bad Management

Hello, fellow Trainers!

I came to Niantic because I love Pokemon. I grew up with Pokemon, and I wanted to be a part of making this game experience. Admittedly, the pay was a little better than where I was before here, too.

Frankly though, I have been disheartened by the direction this company is going for Pokemon GO. The main driver is not about making a fun game, it is about the Almighty Dollar. While I understand this is a business, there can easily be a balance of fun and profitability. And wouldn't a fun game naturally drive more people to play and pay-in? John Hanke and Co. do not see it that way.

My main concern is that the leaders of this company have become the embodiment of greed. Money drives their every decision, which is a big reason why systems like Go Battle League (GBL) get the least amount of resources dedicated to them. We know GBL needs work, but we rarely have anyone working on fixing the bugs with it. Most of the the collective efforts are put toward the next ticketed event (because that is what brings in revenue) or new Legendaries because players dump real money in for those as well. Other resources are dedicated to bigger Niantic projects, which are still not quite public, so I will not / cannot get into those.

Good communication to the playerbase has been another big problems of ours. For that, I have decided to make this post and answer some questions that I see on here often, albeit not on my main reddit profile.
