Because that's mostly wrong, and you assume a 3D game should be the same as a 2d game with sprites on consoles less powerful than smartphones. Gamefreaks are total hacks and the "fanbase" eats their poop and make threads like this praising mediocrity.

When did the post assume 3d and 2d were genres ? Are you illiterate ? Making a game with towns as big and cold as a bathroom isn't "soul", relying on aesthetics alone isn't "soul". In visuals yes. In gameplay absolutely not. They’re not genres. This is like suggesting that animated movies have to tell fundamentally different stories than live action ones.

Caught an Ariados for my team there so that didn't feel like an issue to me.
The only Pokémon unique to the area is Araquanid apparently. you can get Dewpider earlier tho

I keep hearing people talk about "soul" on this board, but what the fuck is "Soul" In a a game like Pokémon?

Is it Fleshed out Characters? Storybook/Pen and Paper Drawn Environments? Is it loving connections between other people who know each other as opposed to a bunch of robotic spirtes? Is it warmth and intimacy? Is it our interaction with such an environment pertaining to it's potential of realism i even if it is a fantasy world?

Feel free to fill me in on this, guys.
