Frankly, I don't mind. He's fuckin' awesome and his animations are really fun. But he's a rockstar who specializes in dragons and explicitly hails from a foreign land. The fact that they didn't tie him into Galar feels like a missed opportunity. He would've been a much more interesting (or at least enjoyable) Dragon Gym Leader than the phone-absorbed drooling retard with the toiler-inhaler.
Unfortunately I highly doubt we'll ever see him again; he wouldn't fit in S/V at all and despite how completely out-of-place he is/looks in Alola is looks like they're committed to the fake gym experience bit.
