It's not the hardware that's holding the graphics back. Switch has titles like Xenoblade 2 and Breath of the Wild that look WORLDS better on the same hardware, and their worlds are bigger and better too.
GameFreak/TPMC is the true bottleneck of the series and the reason we're fed mediocrity time and again.
