We already have a hidden ability item. Why not have a shiny item too? That should include the presumed "inverted shiny" too.

Honestly there’s no reason not to at this point. Cheaters will cheat anyway, normal people can get one a game file, and everyone’s happy. We need a ball changing item, a rusty bottle cap for 0 ivs and a hidden ability reversion patch as well and there will literally be no reason to use PkHex

Shinies haven't had value since the Game Genie days. All this no-doubt cost prohibitive item would do is make non-hackers happier.

shiny rate is already insanely low. Think bigger

We need pokemon accessories. Why can I not put bows and tophats on my pokemon yet? The thing that would make a pokemon feel REALLY special is the ability to customize.

I want a little Abu fez and vest for my Aipom

Because rarity of pokemon. Hidden abilities are for muh vgc and pvp, but shinies are just color swaps and not important for that.

One has actual gameplay implications, the other one is meant to spice up random encounters causing even a shitmon like a skiploom to cause you to pop off.
I wouldn't care if they did add it but its probably why they wouldn't.
