I haven't played a retail game in a couple of months, but I finished a gen 3 one earlier in the year. Everything caught in either a Pokeball or Safari Ball.

I dont want to:
- pay for gen 1 and gen 2 for trading
- hack another 3ds to get them for free
- reset for 1.000 rare candies
- grind against lvl 40 for hours

How do you do that for the gameboy games? I have a retrode and can pull the roms off the carts, but I can't get or write the save files. Tried all the settings I could think of.

There's a plugin you can use for the Retrode to get saves. I've never tried it with a GBC game, but I've backed up GBA saves with a hacked Wii.
