>>50937052I mean it's not the hardest but it is quite literally Pokemon's version of Lost Woods. I'd say a hard to navigate Route would be something like Route 216 in Sinnoh or Routes 13 & 14 in Kanto, those are locations that are quite isolated from any nearby healing (Route 216's is on the opposite end during your first trip through) and have trainers who are either a step-up from the previous batches you fought or are just numerous. In addition in both cases you would likely return to these routes again to properly explore them due to the former's need of Rock Climb and the latter's need of Cut.
Route 20 can be a bit annoying to explore especially if you don't know where to go but the amount of trainers is far more manageable and just generally easier (although that's more so an issue with Kalos as a whole rather than just Route 20), plus you're right next to the Snowbelle Pokemon Center. The closest I can think of in terms of challenge in Kalos would probably be upper Route 8 and that's only if you didn't go back to heal after the rival battle and didn't use the healer in Connecting Cave, regardless though the Route has some pretty tough jank due to Pokemon like Absol, Zangoose and Seviper as well as depending on how your team is, that one Sky Trainer can kinda fuck you over.
