>>50944832The fact that we still don't know what the region is actually fucking called is just wild to me. We should at least by now know the basics, like "Welcome to the ____ region! You'll be exploring it as a transfer student and blablabla..." but the silence is deafening. Is this new marketing method them not having the funs or resources to advertise/showcase their game or just choosing not to for the sake of mystery and surprise? Even though all people can talk about is how suspicious and stupid it is to make info so scarce so at least there can be discussion and decisions about what game to buy in the first place? I have a crackpot theory that the leaks are actually planned by the company so that the information seems more "forbidden knowledge" which stirs up more publicity, but some things are being revealed too fast for that to make sense. No way would the company reveal starter evolutions this early on on purpose, that's a massive no-no.

Sure maybe it's a new marketing tactic to make the game seem more fresh and undiscovered but PLA did the same thing and people quickly realized how it was riddled with problems and lacked polish and content. It was a fun game with lots of surprises, but it was still deeply flawed and it was almost like they were attempting to throw a blanket over it and just not address it. The lack of information is concerning to me for this reason. Like they don't want to talk about it because they know it's not up to par with previous games. Again, they probably want to retain the sense of discovery, but these dry periods of no news sucks hard, just like PLA pre-release did.
