You're a fucking idiot. Pokemon battles are a lot like mixed martial arts. I've noticed this similarity. In MMA, you MUST have a diverse style. The best trainers have diverse moves. Garchomp has Draco meteors because Cynthia is a good trainer.

The anime canon has a different set of mechanics from the video game canon. The odds are decent that mega evolving resets any stat changes.

rule 2 of megachomp
nobody expects a mixed/special megachomp
rule 1 is never use megachomp for anything but memes
yes 170 attack with chance of swords is cool, but it's just a ruse. 120 special attack against something that is not expected to take special hits hurts like a motherfucker, and garchomp's got a small but concise and very much functional special learnset.
and then they switch in their special wall and you unleash all of your 170 attack on it, which hurts like a motherfucker even uninvested.
