learned something about why the newer games are still appealing to kids

was talking to my little nephew about shield and they said they like it because it has all the new pokemon. and the examples they gave of their favorite new ones are vulpix and rapidash

If anything it proves that all the fans complaining about Kanto Pandering were right all along. The common “justification” for shoving Gen1 Pokémon everywhere is that “those are the ones everyone is familiar with”. All Pokémon are new to new fans, so there’s no reason throw non-Gen one Pokémon under the bus.
