I wish the gen 4 era of amazing spinoffs would come back. It started puttering out during gen 5, and gen 6 at least had a new pmd.
But gen 7 just killed it completely.

Millions of people care, pokemon is the biggest franchise in the world it's not shocking the mainline series is just more popular overall.

But the spinoffs give fans a unique way to experience it outside of the same old same old.

I normally am against remakes, and haven't bought/played DX, but I really want an Explorer's of the Sky remake.

Even more than that though, I'd truly love a 3rd Orre game. Not a remake or a port, I want something completely new.

All the fanservice makes it more obvious

>the partner says something like "I love you" in the japanese version and the fanbase has been craving a hero and partner pairing for ages

that was mainly due to the game just being “pretty good” and coming out on a console obviously worse for it than the one directly preceding it I think. At least it had loads of hype and was still talked about for months after release, that’s a rarity nowadays and having it back even just once was so refreshing. Still remember all the threads pointing at Meganium getting spotlight and the graphics
