Legends was fine. The premise itself and the idea of a Pokemon game not bound by the the tradtional limits of the franchise, while still keeping its core was what had us interested

This on the other hand promises to be more the same, but also different(?), and told us fuck all about anything.

To be fair, Legends was the same. That was the point of the post.
It was nothing but doomposting (if any posting at all) until leaks came and people were finally able to see what the game actually was.

We weren't expcting new Pokemon and got the general idea of "it's Sinnoh but in the past" thing pretty past. Plus it wasn't an entirely new generation.

SV we know what the game looks like and a few Pokemon and that's it. We don't even know the name of the region.

A big part of it is that we still haven't entered the "regular news" cycle of the hype season yet. In gen 8, the first news we got was the E3 trailer in June, then we started getting regular updates on July 7th. We got the June trailer, but the news cycle is a bit late this year.

Do people still act like this is all there is to do in Legends pas the main campaign + postgame story (which is already decently long on its own)? Eternal Battle Reverie + The specialty marks for every mon in the dex at the Battle Portal honestly kinda makes it have more singleplayer postgame shit to do than any other Pokemon game since Gen 5

SWSH leak season just spoiled us all. Analyzing every trailer to compare it to that text post, the screenshot poster who would go out of his way to get any info he was asked about, Retard-kun's streams...that time was more fun than the games themselves.

SWSH's hype season was many things, "fun" wasn't one of them
It was fucking miserable with only the porn to even remotely salvage it, and even then it doesn't make up for all the shitposting it caused and this is coming from a waifufag and coomer

SM's hype season was actually fun, hell even XY's was having a new type, megas, Amie and being the first 3D Pokemon game
