The problem with PLA(tinum) is that Kusaka seems to not want to introduce alternate timeline/universe stuff into Spe (I can barely remember ORAS but I think he didn't mention Zinnia's "let's send the meteor to another dimension" thing)
After 5 and a half years (lol) they finally finished B2W2, and they're back to only a single arc running, which hasn't happened since the end of HGSS in 2010
Considering SV is around the corner, I really don't think PLA is going to happen with all of this in mind
I could be wrong, but even then, despite how interesting a PLA arc could be, I think I would actually prefer for them to just leave it and only focus on doing one arc at a time
The newer arcs are super short and some feel outright rushed because of how little time there is between game releases, and having to juggle two arcs would probably come to the detriment of both SV and PLA
