I'm thoroughly convinced at this point that SV is going to be another New Horizons Situation:
>Push out an unfinished game with all the mandatory things like local Pokédex, exploration mechanics and all necessary gyms/towns
>Add various areas and plot in the future with new Pokémon for people to explore over the course of a year or two
>Think this is all okay since it's an open-world game, and assume that the creative possibilities for the player should be able to carry their attention long enough until the areas are ready to be released as free updates
This era of Nintendo/Game Freak feels genuinely worse than the era from the 2010s.
