It made sense for the original games because it was the most straight-forward way to force players to trade with each other. They didn't want to randomize encounter rates.

If they're going to keep doing DLC, they should make it so you get the opposite version's content. There's no reason why I shouldn't be able to catch Zamazenta in Sword EX, when I could catch Lugia just fine in plain old Gold Version.

what's funny is that other games studios even nintendo themselves tried to do this e.g. inazuma 11 fire+ blizzard, digimon, fire emblemand yokai watch 3 and they failed in sells so this shit only is ok for pkm cus people will consume anything from this franchise

That's because they tried to get adults to do it cold, while Pokémon got kids into it so hard, by the time they grew up, they'd buy both.
Mind Zelda did it in the early '00's and it worked so maybe the others just weren't big enough to pull it off. Seems like only a top-tier IP has the goodwill for it.

Yes, it's true. Conquest is even a reasonably challenging and well-designed SRPG.
However, it has a tremendously stupid story. Usually when a story is bad, there are a few fixes that would make it good, but Fates' story is a completely terrible story with no redeeming features of any kind. That's why it's so hated.
