>>50977629Maybe because it seems Hisui is where actual/more modern Pokémon training developed and the ancestors from the game inspired their families to keep up with Pokémon training. We know from Flannery (in the games) and Brock (in the anime) that gyms can run in families, so perhaps it’s like American politicians where it’s something that really trickles down through generations.
