Are there any paired versions that are worth playing over their third versions (or 'remakes' in Sun/Ultra Sun's case)?

B/W(2) don't count, since it's a direct sequel.

RB and Y are different enough.
RS over E gives you a slightly different story with Aqua and Magma split up I guess.
No need to play DP over Pt.

Yellow is not exactly better than RB so yeah you can play RB I guess
No need to play GS over Crystal except if you really really, really really want an Ampharos.
No need to play RS over Emerald.
DP has glitches that Plat doesn't have, this alone makes playing DP worthwhile
No need to play SM over Ultra unless you're a big storyfag
