I have one and for years people didn't believe me that it was possible. When I finally beat this shitty game and went to transfer the Jirachi to my copies of Ruby and Sapphire for a minute I thought that it's color changed based on the version you send it to until I realised the Sapphire one was shiny (this was my first non-Gyarados shiny). The problem is that even Gamefreak didn't realize it was possible and that it doesn't pass the Gen 5 to Gen 6 legality check and cant be transferred. I had to use PKHex to bring it over.

I beat the game as a kid but I didn't know that it was how you got a Jirachi until 15 years later.

Honestly I liked channel back in the day, should probably replay it to see if that wasn't just my younger self having terrible standards.

Grown men in their 30's will tell you this is the worst Pokemon game ever made, but as a kid the idea of "what if you had a pet Pikachu" was a really fun concept for a game. I loved all the fun unlockables you could buy, interacting with the different Pokemon and getting to learn neat tidbits, and flipping through all the channels. This and Snap were always my favorite side games to just dick around in whenever I'd take a break from the mainline games.
