Why are there only 151 Pokemon? After all these years don't you think TPC would recognize how stale it is always playing with the same set of monsters?

they know that if they make more they won't even come close to as good. Like, imagine if they ran out of ideas and ended up making three palette swap monkeys or ugly genies. It's better to keep the franchise's quality.

And yet they're still selling, at least the most prominent of the 151 (starters, Pikachu, Eevee line, Gengar, Mewtwo, etc.) are anyway.

What do you mean? Unova was the perfect opportunity to reveal new Pokemon. It's a region on the other side of the fucking world, why wouldn't there be more variety in the monsters? That was a huge turnoff for me. Like yeah, sure, a mythical chinese dragon is in New York city.

I miss this series bros. Why did it have to flop? We will never know if there are more pokémon after the secretive Mew. Pokémon was my favorite niche game but I guess popularity is the only thing that matters in business.

Just imagine if it had succeeded. We could be having new pokémon games in 2022 using the most advanced technology of our time.
