Branching out

No.51000263 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Branching out, you will realize that Pokémon isn't as original as you thought it was.
Honestly by sticking to this series you are really hurting yourself. Other series have implemented the elements of Pokémon better than this series. Pic related, things like this can happen in other games, but it never has in Pokémon, the closest we have ever gotten to events like this is mystery dungeon.

>Arc the Lad
Came out the same year as R/G, and was far better than pokemon overall, it outsold pokemon, but didn't get the international sales because it was console embargoed till 2002

>Legend of mana
Legend of mana had following monsters, a farm, and natures them years before Pokémon

>dragon quest had monster taming before Pokémon

>FF9
Had mega evolution of sorts in Trance

>Many games had double/triples

>La Pucelle
Had ivs that were visible before Pokémon

>INB4 nostolgia
The nostolgia and series loyalty was gone the second dogshit like puzzle league, snap, and the like came out and we couldn't have a cool adventure.

Honestly it was just shit to me at r/s, I immediately passed over it after playing Megaman Batlte network., I tried to get back into it in D/P, however the main story was dull and online play consisted of iv/ev training I didn't have time for because I was in college/ you were in a shit spot if you didn't play the previous gen
>INB4 filtered
No one should have to dedicate that much time to get a decent battle. Also they reused the models from gen 1 in battle revolution, that's fucking shitty, if anyone else did that they would be calling for heads on pikes.

I honestly don't get you folks. Why stick around?
