I know and am friends with an actual aro/ace, and they are NOT someone you are going to confuse for "quirky". I know, different types, different expressions, but, fuck no, she's someone that you meet for like, an hour and you know something is up.
Based as fuck person, love 'em to death, I come away from almost every interaction with her feeling like I've just been shown something I'm too stupid to even comprehend, but that's some hardcore shit right there. She's not a girl that doesn't like relationships or sex, she is a barely contained entity trapped in a mere human form, that I regard with equal parts awe and pity, and shame that my pity assumes she even values relatable things.
Jaiden just doesn't want to deal with that shit, which is understandable, and I don't blame her for, but I'm damn near certain it isn't honest.
