finch made a dogshit team that gets 6-0d by Kyerum at lead. then shortly after he gets RAWKT, he cries and gets Kyerum banned. Instead of adding more Kyerum checks to his team or getting better (by not saccing his only Kyerum check and by not saccing the only Pokémon that outspend Kyerum; Dragapult)
so not only did he build an absolutely dogshit team, but he played that game like a retard. why is this the player telling us what we can’t use? he obviously doesn’t have a good grasp on the meta if he builds a team so weak to Kyerum while it was a top ou threat.

Only two of those are moves used outside of specifically Baton Pass so I'm gonna laugh off Haze and Perish Song. Phasing is nice but not common and not every comp will run it normally. As for Unaware only two Pokemon who get it are really viable in OU. And Clefable doesn't even always like to run it.

It's not even Ninjask anymore, you have to handle Scolipede+Espeon. Since Gen 6, those two have enough synergy and boosting moves to carry a baton pass strategy on their own.

I’d agree, but Smogon rules aren’t perfect either. The whole meta revolves around Stealth Rock, to the point where I once used a taunt destiny bond Gengar to deny entry hazard setup. 50% of the time on showdown, my opponent would quit the second I denied them rocks.

Stallfags are cunts for sure. I don't think even they think that Stall is skillful. Stall actually reduces the need for skillful plays since it reduces the penalty for incorrectly reading your opponent to negligible levels.

Perhaps in prior generations, where there were viable stallbreakers like Gliscor, you could say Stall was skillful, but Stall has so many useful and powerful tools and most of their counters have been removed so it's become safer than anytime since Gen 2. Smogon just tries to make the best rulesets possible to please as many people as possible, and it causes some issues because of wedge issues like evasion, stealth rocks, stall, and so on. Some people love those strategies, some people vehemently hate them. No matter what Smogon does they're the bad guys, whether they keep a strategy unmolested or place limits on it.

That has nothing to do with their mods trying to solve internally stuff like some of their mods being actual pedos instead of calling the cops on them. The main reason being that even the mods that weren't actually into that can still be deemed responsible for the stuff that was going on inside their servers, and for doing nothing meaningful to prevent it, they only took action after the fact.

Stall has a lot of rooms for error thoguh as the stall player. If any of your mons gets crippled often times you lost the match, it's very matchup dependant in general.

Regenerator is by far the most bullshit ability in the game.
A good switch was already its own reward. Giving a Pokemon an entire 3rd of its HP on top of that just breaks the game.

Honestly people always talk about baton pass or evasion or whatever, but one thing I've noticed is that they seem to have a real hatred of moves like taunt and encore. Honestly, anything that isn't an attack, a protect/heal, a status buff, or stealth rock they just seem allergic to.

I was talking in a smogon discord a few months back to piss them off, and one of the topics I brought up was expanding pokemon move slots to 6 or 8. They started screeching about how Chansey would become unkillable because it would have softboiled+shit+crap+dildos. I lured them into an argument for a good solid hour or two until I mentioned how encore or taunt would completely shut down a chansey like that, and I was immediately banned.
