>>51008984>extremely shitty early game distributionI agree with the very poor early game distribution. Unless you like rustling grass/dust clouds, you will have to deal with the same 4 Pokemon until you get acess to the Desert Resort. The beginning in general is not really fun for repeat playthroughs due to how cutscene heavy it is and borderline handholdy parts of it are (why do I need to be shown how to heal my Pokemon?). But after that the game really picks up and I imagine this stuff only really bothers veterans like me and not somebody who is a newcomer to the games.
>annoying story with constant interruptions on top of awkward, stilted dialogueOutside of the literal first hour, the game's story does not feel overbearing. It is certainely not like Sun and Moon where literally every screen change is a minutes long, unskippable cutscene. Plasma's dialogue is pretty cringe, ngl.
>boring routes and regionToo vague.
>absurdly late evolution levels makes most things past the 5th gym not worth bothering withIt is a problem, but I don't feel it is too much of a problem. It definitely prevented me from wanting to use the Pawniard line, but after Cold Storage, the game really opens up distribution wise and even the second stages aren't too bad. You don't even have to grind a lot of the times to evolve these later stage Pokemon due to having Exp. Share and the Lucky Egg that is literally handed to you.
I see where you're coming from, and even agree with you on some things (besides the region being boring), but for me personally the pros greatly outweigh the cons and I hope GF could take risks again with stuff like the regional dex. Or the musical NPCs.
