Kangaskhan can no longer be bred except with its own species and ditto, gets a form change that requires an empty pokeball. That Kang becomes Empty Nest Kang, the baby becomes a new adolescent Kang in the empty ball. If male, it evolves into male Kang with no further changes or evolutions, if female it becomes female Kangaskhan (which is just normal kang) and the cycle restarts. These Kangaskhan are basically clones of the mother, but babies bred from eggs as well as adolescents are new species and follow all the traditional breeding mechanics.
Instead of new route 1 birds, just start making a shitload of regional variants of the ones we have with region appropriate evolutions, like a pipikek that stays a woodpecker in Sinnoh because of how many trees there are or Spearow that become albatrosses in Hoenn. Pidgeys that have it so good in Kalos that they only evolve once into a fat tanky alternate pidgeotto. Same with route one rodents too.
