>>51030396>1for1 remakeThere's the problem. Name me 1 (ONE) person who considers Diamond/Pearl better than Platinum? Perhaps a few contrarians at best, but they're ultimately wrong and prefer the inferior versions.
If the gen 4 remakes chose to remake Platinum instead of Diamond/Pearl, they would have at least been decent games. But no, it fell into the same trap that ORAS did. Which chose to remake Ruby/Sapphire instead of the much superior Emerald. So when you buy BDSP, you're paying full price for a game that's inferior to a 13 year old game (Platinum).
Look at HGSS and FRLG and ask yourself why people still enjoy these remakes greatly. It's because they took the original games and ADDED more content in the remakes. Not less. HGSS didn't cut out Crystal's content (like the Suicune/Eusine storyline) like how BDSP cut out Platinum's content (the Battle Frontier). Instead, HGSS was basically a Crystal remake on steroids that added new legendaries and followable pokemon not found in the original gen 2 games. Same deal with FRLG (albeit to a lesser degree) that added stuff like breeding and the Sevii Islands that weren't in the original RBY.
My point is that BDSP should've been a better version than Platinum, but it wasn't. Pokemon following you is a nice touch, but that doesn't make up for cutting out the Battle Frontier and having noticeably cheap mobile game tier graphics. This is an HD Switch console game for christ's sake and this is the best they can visually do?
