They suck. Theres nothing in verdanturf except the battle tent for a midgame town.
I understand small towns in the beginning of the game, but this is insulting. Same with fallarbor. It could have been replaced with a pokecenter and nothing would've changed.
In fact these towns are basically just pokemon centers. Theres like three other buildings.
On another note, battle tents rock, and were the peak of the story for me.
I would've much rather had a shortcut to an existing town or new area rather than a small town. Hoenn is empty and has huge areas that are unfilled that could have been endgame areas. Sinnoh actually did that with turnback cave. And sandgem town.
I still don't know whats in the holes in the map or half the hoenn ocean.
Instead of that i got verdanturf.

Oras is bad, but atleast it adds grottos to make it seem like hoenn isn't just a few looping routes.
