Incineroar is a top 5 of all time Pokemon, where Decidueye has never seen serious use.

About equal but I will give the edge to Incineroar because it better represents its concept (heel wrestler vs ghost archer). Both are a tad overdesigned though.

Smash Bros is a timeless series and almost always fun to play. Unite is one of the more fun MOBAs but that's like saying OP is one of the straightest faggots.

Really the only thing that Decidueye has over Incineroar is that its first stage is way cuter.

Pokken is superior than smash bros by gameplay. Smash bros is the Pokemon of fighting games, too incapable to adapt to new things and graphics so it's always the same shit with little improvements. Pokken is an actual full blown 3D Tekken but with pokemon and better. Much like their personalities, Incineroar gets in the shallow mainstream cashgrab and Decidueye in the fine unique game

Wake up already! Decidueye was always popular. Gf just didn't capitalize on him like they did with blaziken, greninja and charizard during his gen but instead focused on rowlet and Incineroar(for some reason) if Decidueye got more push during gen 7 I can easily see it being over rowlet and maybe mim. I'm even willing to say that if he got the smash pass instead, Incineroar would be looked at the same way we see rillaboom good in vgc but irrelevant everywhere else and not not even as popular as litten. Also Litten needs more love

Incineroar got more play in the anime, Decidueye got more play in the games. They both won but I'd say Decidueye got the more important spotlight. Getting a whole new form in Legends was a pretty big deal. It's one of the most recent starters to get any kind of new form.

I find it hilarious how for a supposed shillmon Incineroar fell completely off the face of earth while Decidueye keeps getting new things (playable in Unite, a new regional form and being a starter in Legends, TCG cards).

So the correct answer is they shilled for Incineroar heavily in gen 7 due to Masuda’s bias but now that the old fart is out of the picture and the fanbase has shown they like the owl more, the latter has gotten an upper hand.
