Has anyone else noticed the yin-yang theme that gen 4's story has?
There's the concept that says "Bad things exist to give value to good things". Cynthia seems to believe this, since, after the player defeats Cyrus in the distortion world, she says "Since there is sadness, we can feel joy. When there is anger, compassion is born". Cyrus also believes this concept, but he sees it the other way around, as in "Bad things exist and have significance because good things are valued", hence why is he is obsessed with his "muh spirit bad" ideology. That way, Cynthia and Cyrus are yin-yang characters.
I honestly feel like this gives more nuance to Cyrus's character instead of him being just "emotions are bad because they just are, ok" like everyone says he is.
