TPCi also didn't even bother to make a faithful dub of M22 (if they had, THAT would've been interesting!), they just copied and aped 4Kids' butchered script of M01 in the second half anyway-- so who is this for? Kids who grew up with the current dub, that's it. I guess they didn't mess with the music, but it's really hollow regardless.
Also TPCi did a stupid jelly donut thing joke now in the dub, beyond stupid, copying 4Kids in the worst way possible- that wasn't the humor the original English dub had, it was a dumb line they put in because they thought kids wouldn't know what onigiri/rice balls were randomly that episode to make it universal overseas.
Dan Green is literaly worse here than he was in 2002 with the Mewtwo voice in Returns, and Jay Goede in 1999 now in Strikes back as well.
Finally, even in its original Japanese, I just don't like the graphics at all when you compare them: Ash seems off model at times, as do Brock + Misty-- the cel-shaded 1999 animation/art style looks more natural, not even nostalgia IMO, the 3D models look **ugly** at times.
