Just loses all mystique and appeal that made the original three birds seem so mythical and legendary (from early gen standards, they don't really seem like that now). And not in a weird updated fashion like how every regions legendaries have to be some big ruler of whatever the fuck.
The only one of the Galarian birds I like is Moltres, because original was basically just a bland Phoenix insert, but the Galarian one straight up looks like it's a pyromaniac bastard, which I think is an interesting take.
