>>51049934>Only recognized format for singlesNot true, even if it is the de facto format (not like I'd trust GF to do anything better, Smogon does a much better job than GF ever could, even with all their faults)
>Bans aren't decided by one groupNot the first time where the councils decide to ban stuff without any community input (eg. trapping abilities and all the weather-based evasion boosting abilities, which never saw any competitive use, or the Endless Battle clause)
>Tiers based on calculated usageThis is indeed a great system, unless you are playing on OU, like the vast majority of players, where it doesn't apply
>Each vote is an educated oneEach vote carries a significant barrier of entry, and thus, the result carries a massive bias (only users really dedicated to the competitive scene get to vote)
There's a good reason why no game balances itself around the competitive scene
Also, Pokemon doesn't lend itself well to competitive, since anybody can just rip off a competitive team, at which point it's just a game of predictions (and anything that changes that gets quick-banned)
As another point, nothing gets suspect tested to begin with. The community would likely appreciate suspecting Landorus-T or Toxapex, yet this will never happen, defeating the whole purpose of suspect tests
>You don't have to play it so please let others play in peaceBut I have to play it if I want to play without waiting an hour
It's also not a bad system in theory, so it deserves to be criticized so it can improve
