In my eyes Protect should be a TM-only move and Detect shouldn't even exist. Ingame trainers dont use strategies revolving around its use, they just waste your PP, but you are never in any danger of running out of PP so it's just a waste of time.
>>51056252Even then you have the issue of redoing entire sets (or upwards of dozens of fights from gen 6 on) just because you got fucked by some OHKO users. I wish they went the Colosseum route and had checkpoints up to a set point. Lame as fuck to have to blow up hoothoots and koffings for an hour to get to any fights worth a damn
